The audience of May 27, 1989, granted to 10,000 children of the Armata Bianca, including many hundreds from Aquila, wasn’t however an impromptu concession, rather the climax of an ancient relationship between the children and their Daddy in Rome, who was also well aware of the work of the Armata Bianca in Poland, where it has thousands of members.
During the audience, Father Andrea D’Ascanio introduced the 10,000 children of the Armata Bianca as little Davids who, with their “sling” of the Rosary, strike Goliath the giant and knock him down: it’s obvious that “Goliath” referred to communism.
The children were invited to offer themselves for this intention, their reply was a “yes” given out with an indescribable intensity: is it daring to assume (naturally: in a logic of faith!) that, in order to knock down the Berlin wall – on November 10 of the same year – the little push given by the children of the Armata Bianca was decisive?
