Special Audience of May 27, 1989

Here are the words addressed by Father Andrea D’Ascanio, the founder of the Armata Bianca, to His Holiness John Paul II on May 27, 1989 in the Nervi Hall:

“Most blessed Father, I thank you on behalf of all the children of the Armata Bianca for having granted them the honour and joy of being here with you today.

These children were born from the heart of Mary who recently has always appeared to children: La Salette, Lourdes, Baureng, Banneaux, Fatima. At Fatima Mary repeated to us adults the exhortation which Jesus had already given: “Let the children come to Me, theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven…if you do not become like little children, you won’t enter the Kingdom of Heaven…” Children are the heart of God’s heart, “the Angels always see the face of the Father in their spirit”.

The most glorious child of ancient times is David, the child who, armed with his sling alone, fights Goliath and overcomes him. The children of the Armata Bianca are Mary’s little soldiers who, with the sling of the Rosary, attack evil in order to destroy it, with joy and with a smile.

In 1917, in an explosion of Light, three small children aged 7, 9 and 10 – Jacinta, Francisco and Lucia – see “a Lady brighter than the sun”. It is the Woman of Revelation who gives them an invitation: “Do you wish to give yourselves to God, for peace in the world, and for the conversion of sinners?” The children answer “yes”; the Lady smiles, opens her arms and from her hands comes forth a ray of Light which strikes them and penetrates them. Later on, Lucia will comment: “That Light was God”.

It is a new Annunciation: the invitation from Heaven, the creatures’ response, the Spirit of Love which flows onto the world. At Mary’s “yes”, Jesus is born, at the children’s “yes” the new Church is born, made of freshness and pure love, which gives itself to the Father unconditionally so that Peace may come into the world.

But what is Peace? Peace is Love. If we say “yes” to the Father, Love will come into the world, people will become good, there will be a new world without frontiers, a world in which there won’t be any more room for armies, hatred, injustice or racism; a world in which everyone will love each other, everyone will smile at each other, everyone will be an expression of the Father’s smile.

This is not a children’s fairy tale, but a lesson for us adults. With the “yes” of those three children, Mary saved Portugal from World War II. In fact, she said: “Because of the three of you, since your Country, through you, has accepted my invitation, I promise you that I will save it from the next World War”. Portugal did not participate in World War II, thanks to three children.

Now I ask you children: Did our Mother only want to go to those three children, or to all the children in the world?

“All the children in the world!”

Even to you?

“Yes”

Mary saved an entire Nation from war with only three children; if she finds thousands and thousands of children who will say “yes” to her, what could we save?

“The whole world!”

Well, children, today there are thousands and thousands of us here. Mary is giving us the invitation that was given to Her by the Angel and that she then extended to the three shepherd children of Fatima: the invitation to give ourselves to God. If we answer “yes”, then who will we belong to?

“To our Father in Heaven!”

And what will our Daddy in Heaven be able to do with us?

“Anything He wants!”

But He only wants one thing, Peace. Today humanity is going crazy. It is continuing to build weapons upon weapons. It is preparing for World War III, but our Daddy in Heaven doesn’t agree, that’s why He sent Mary to you children, and She is telling you: “Do not be afraid, answer “yes” to me and together we will save the world: say “yes” to me and together we will make the first World Peace break out…(…) Do you agree?

“Yessssss”

The ‘yes’ you are about to say is the most important ‘yes’ of your lives. Today we will make a sea of light come down upon humanity and when we have said our “yes” we will be Mary’s little soldiers who will go into the world with the sling of the Rosary, with Mary’s weapon, that’s how Padre Pio of Pietralcina called it, the only “weapon” which doesn’t kill men, but kills evil. We will renew the “yes” we said at our Baptism, but then our godfather said it for us, now we will say it freely.

I will repeat Mary’s words to you, (…) when I have finished, we will say our “yes”, but please, let it come from your heart: it must be a “yes” that will break through Heaven and make fall on earth the Love which will transform humanity, a love of which there is much need.

My little brothers and sisters, I ask you on behalf of our Mommy who needs our help: do we want to give ourselves to our Father in Heaven, and be willing to accept everything He wants to send us, so that peace will come into the world, so that evil will become good, for the Pope, for the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary?
